The Artwork of Nicholas Dwyer

Heart of Stone

I love sculpting stone. I fell in love with alabaster sculpture in Italy, while visiting Volterra. Aalabaster is like a soft version of marble. This heart was carved from pink/orange alabaster from Utah. This was just an experiment, but it turned out decent I think.

More than decent. It turned out very well. Ever tried carving that chunk of gum arabic I gave you?

    • Thanks David. I wish could carve the Gum Arabic, but we think we misplaced it at your parents house, because we cannot find it anywhere. Do you have any more? I’d love to try it! Nick
